Pakistan reiterates support for Kashmir cause

Tuesday, May 07, 2013 - Islamabad—Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Monday reiterated Pakistan’s policy of supporting the just cause of Kashmir and said that they would stand by the Kashmiri people through thick and thin. He said that Pakistan would continue to extend its diplomatic and moral support to the cause of Kashmir.

The Prime Minister was talking to Ch. Abdul Majeed, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who called on him at the Prime Minister’s House. During the meeting, deteriorating health condition of Sanaullah, a Pakistani prisoner in India, was discussed. The Prime Minister expressed concern over the poor health of Sanaullah and prayed to Almighty Allah for his recovery. Rehabilitation of dam affectees to be completed soon: Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed Monday assured that rehabilitation of Mangla dam affectees will be completed soon.

Addressing a meeting of senior officials of the AJK government including Mangla Dam Resettlement Organization here, the Prime Minister said that with the financial assistance of the government of Pakistan, the AJK government is committed to complete the process of resettlement and rehabilitation of the affectees of project on time.—APP
