Two drug peddlers arrested

The district police have arrested two alleged drug peddlers and recovered foreign and locally made liquor from their possession. A spokesman for Bahawalpur police said here that acting on a tip-off, a police party conducted a raid at a den within the jurisdiction of PS Saddar.

The police arrested two drug pushers and recovered 35 foreign wine bottles and 60 locally made liquor bottles. Saddar police have registered a case against the accused. Further probe was in process. Meanwhile a man was allegedly stabbed to death by his uncle and cousins following a dispute related to land at Daira Deenpanah in Muzaffargarh.

According to police sources, there was a dispute between two brothers named Faiz Bakhash and Wahid Bakhash, related to a land, adjacent to their home.

Muhammad Sadiq, the son of Faiz Bakhash, along with his nephew Muhammad Asif was heading somewhere on a motorcycle when he was intercepted by his uncle Wahid Bakhash, his two cousins and another three unknown persons. They allegedly attacked Muhammad Sadiq and stabbed him to death. However, Asif, the nephew of the deceased person also sustained injuries. Police collected the evidence from the site and started an investigation into the mishap.
