Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi deputy chief Osama Razi strongly condemned the Sindh government over its inefficiency and failure to maintain neighborhoods in Karachi. The JI leader expressed these views while addressing a protest demonstration held in Karachi for repairing and rebuilding Shadman nullah in North Nazimabad area.

A large number of area residents held the protest demonstration at Qalandaria chowk. On the occasion, protesters, carrying placards and banners, chanted slogans against the government. Addressing the protestors, the JI leader said that inefficiency of the government compelled the area residence to come out for protest, demanding rebuilding and restoration of Shadman nullah. He warned the government that the concerned Deputy Commissioner office will be besieged after the holy month of Ramzan, if the issue is not resolved.

The JI leader said that Karachi is the seventh largest city in the world. He added that the megalopolis, house to 30 million individuals, have turned into ruins due to inability of the ruling elite, while almost government officials in the city maintain focus on plundering and corruption. The JI leader strongly condemned all those responsible for negligence in connection with repairing of old and construction of new rain drains where needed across the city.

Talking about the national political scenario, he said that a nefarious game set by establishment was being played by legislators on both the treasury and opposition benches while no body was taking into consideration the interests of people.

He said that once again the MQM was playing the same role of an opportunist instead of taking stand for Karachi and Karachiites. In this backdrop, he said, the JI has been fighting for the cause of Karachi. He added that the history of Karachi was evident on the contribution of the JI for the development and progress of the city.
