ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening/night and the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday. Freezing weather is likely in the upper parts of the country.
Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 04-06 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 05-07 on Friday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 06-08 C on Thursday and 07-09 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in the upper parts of the country. Rain occurred in Karachi and isolated places in Balochistan.
Leh remained the coldest place in the country where the temperature dropped 10 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 85 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 06 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 68 per cent.
