Dr Yasmeen hands over 18 ventilators to Rescue 1122

Helping Hand, Ferozsons & American Business Forum donate the ventilators

Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid handed over 18 Digital Transport Ventilators (DTVs) to Director General Punjab Emergency Service Dr Rizwan Naseer for providing advance life support to the corona patients here on Thursday.

Dr Yasmin said that Rescue 1122 rendered remarkable services to the corona patients during Covid-19 as frontline soldier by shifting 15,433 suspected corona patients and burial 2,869 corona victims.

She also admired the vibrant role of Rescue services in Covid-19 under the leadership of DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer.

She was addressing Ventilators distribution ceremony held at Command & Control Centre Lahore.

DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer, DD Operations, senior officers from Rescue Headquarters & Academy, representatives from Helping Hands, American Business Forum & Ferozsons, instructors and senior Emergency Medical technicians (EMTs) from major districts of Punjab were also present.

While addressing rescuer paramedics Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said the determination of the rescuers is admirable.

I feel proud on that day when I see my students in the field, adding that Dr Rizwan Naseer one of those who established this life-saving service model in Punjab and make it successful.

The role of this noble service is being praised at the national and international level.

‘‘I appreciate the leadership of Rescue 1122 and rescuers who rendered their services tremendously during covid-19.

She reiterated that Rescue Service is the only organization which paid the loan of this motherland,’’.

She expressed that she has no words to pay thanks to the Rescue Services and role as frontline soldiers.

She lauded the services, contributions, and help of overseas Pakistani for this country, especially at arduous times.

Dr Yasmeen also thanked all three donors for the donation of ventilators for Rescue 1122.

She said that after this donation at least one cardiac ambulance would be equipped and available in all 36 districts of Punjab to serve the seriously affected covid-19 patients.

She wished that Rescue 1122 will continue to serve the nations with more dedication and commitments.

She also requested the citizens to wear facemask as the corona pandemic is not over yet.

Speaking at the occasion, the DG Rescue Punjab said that Rescue Service shifted over 15,433 Corona patients to various hospitals, quarantine and isolation centers across the province during Covid-19.

Besides that, Rescue Service established Expo Rescue Triage Center and over 11,552 patients were provided immediate care.

Keeping in view the 3rd wave of Corona and the recent surge in Covid-19 cases, organized training of Senior Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) at Emergency Services Academy to dedicate staff on ventilator ambulance to facilitate critical corona victims in major districts of Punjab.

He special thanked American Business Forum and Ferozsons for donating 18 ventilators to Rescue Service to combat the existing situation.

On the behalf of Ilyas Choudry, Program Director Helping Hand USA Rizwan Baig added, “I would like to thank all our overseas Pakistanis for their generous support in this initiative.

I am happy that we were able to work with the inventors of these portable ventilators and support them in bringing

PAGB President Siraj Khan, reiterating the importance of improving the health care facilities of Pakistan said, “Keeping in view the current health care crisis at hand, health measures must be a priority for the government, firms, and the overall society as collective efforts have drastic effects.
