Orders increasing vaccination centres to inoculate more and more people

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Saturday emphasised that environmental pollution is adversely affecting human health and destroying natural climate, saying that we have to provide a clean and healthy environment to our coming generations.

“The comity of nations must work together to control the factors which are affecting the environment.”

In a message on World Environment Day, the chief minister termed environmental pollution a challenge for the whole world as well as for Pakistan.

He said that the incumbent government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken effective measures to control environmental pollution.

He said that projects like Clean and Green Pakistan and the Billion Tree Tsunami are helping to overcome pollution in Pakistan.

He further stated that the PTI government has turned the tree-planting drive into a movement.

Forests play a vital role in this regard therefore their protection to overcome pollution is utmost necessary. There is no alternative of the beauty of lush green and dense forests, he added.

Usman Buzdar said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to create awareness among the masses to protect the environment from the effects occurred due to climate changes and to ensure the clean, green as well as natural environment for new generations.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that 1,68,700 people were vaccinated across Punjab in last 24 hours.

“Around 4.6 million people have got vaccine doses in the province so far,” CM Buzdar stated.

The number of coronavirus vaccination centres have been increased to 677 in the province and a central vaccination centre will work 24 hours in each district.

The government has decided to establish Covid vaccination centres in all 27 teaching hospitals of the province in order to vaccinate a target population of 67m by the end of 2021.

The Punjab Specialised Healthcare Department has issued a notification on Friday with instructions to all vice chancellors, principals and medical superintendents of the teaching institutions to establish vaccination centres. The vaccination centres at the hospitals will start functioning from June 07 (Monday).

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that the best arrangements have been made at the vaccination centres for citizens.

He urged people to be quick in getting vaccinated and advised them to avoid rumours with regard to the coronavirus vaccine.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of famous singer Sunny Benjamin (SB) John.

Chief Usman Buzdar extended his heartfelt sympathy and condolences with the bereaved family. Usman Buzdar said that John had his own unique style in singing.

SB John’s singing will long be remembered in the music field. SB John’s death has closed a golden chapter of world of music.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of murder of a 13-year old child after kidnapping in Multan and sought a report from Inspector General Police.

The Chief Minister directed to apprehend the accused at the earliest after initiating legal action against them. He said those who involved in this heinous act do not deserve any concession.

On the other hand, CM Usman Buzdar took notice of torture on the doctors in Services Hospital and sought a report from Health Secretary and CCPO Lahore.

The Chief Minister directed to hold impartial inquiry of the incident and the report should be submitted to the CM’s Office.
