Lahore Police claimed on Tuesday that a dacoity accused was killed by his own companions firing in Gujjar pura Police Station when police was brining him to police station.
Police were of the view that during a shootout by the dacoit own companions, the accused Babari was gunned down in Gujjar Pura amid police custody.
Babri was the wanted criminal in murder, dacoity and police shootouts.
Police claimed that the assailants after killing their fellow-thief managed to run away from the scene.
In another incident, Jhelum police arrested a prime accused of the dacoity gang involved in multiple dacoities.
