Yaum-e-Ashur was observed, on Saturday across the district with due solemnity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho and his devoted companions in Karbala. In this connection, 36 mourning processions were taken out in Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattian, Jalapur Bhattian and other towns of the district. Public meetings were also held at different Masjid and other places throughout the district.
Whle addressing the public meetings and Sham-e-Greeban, Ulema and Zakireen highlighted the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.
Addressing the congregations held at Darbar Syed Shbbir Hussain Shah Hafizabadi, Aastana Aalia Wijhwan Sharif, Markazi Jammea Masjid Noor Sukheki Mandi, Barrister Syed Waseem-ul-Hassan Shah, Syed Faiz-ul-Hassan Shah, Moulana Irfan Saddiqi respectively said that Youm-e-Ashur gives us the message of unity and fortitude.
The whole Muslim Ummah should follow this message to get united and not fight with each other whereas it also gives us a message to lead our lives according to teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the lifestyles of his companions (RA), they added.
District administration and Police made three tier security arrangements to provide peaceful atmosphere to devotees in processions, majalis and other congregations. DC Umer Frooq Wariach and DPO Dr. Fahad Ahmad Tarar were visited routes and places of processions and majalis to review security and other arrangements.
