Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal every year in Pakistan and parts of world to celebrate birth of Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) as faithful mark the event with special events, communal meals, and programs. This year, the day will be celebrated on September 16, 2024.

Mawlid also known as Eid Milad is observed as public holiday in the country, as Muslim celebrate it with deep reverence.

This year, the crescent moon of Rabi ul Awal is expected to be sighted on September 4, and the new month will start on September 5.

What is Eid Milad

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated to mark birth Hazrat Muhammad SAW on 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the Islamic lunar calendar.

Celebrations include Quran Khawanis, sermons, processions, and decorations of homes and mosques. Acts of charity, special meals, and religious gatherings are common, reflecting the diverse ways Muslims honor the Prophet’s birth and legacy.
