ISLAMABAD – Rainfall of varying intensities is likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Sunday evening/night and Monday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave is approaching the upper parts.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country and hot in southern parts on Sunday evening/night, Monday and Tuesday. However, light rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Waziristan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Sunday evening/night.
On Monday, light rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in south Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan and Kashmir. Drizzle/gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Pothohar region and central/north Punjab during evening/night.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 27-29 degrees Celsius on Monday and 28-30 C Tuesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will remain between 25-27 C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain/thunderstorms occurred in Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Murree and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Jacobabad and Nawabshah remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 38 C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 28 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 73 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 27 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 65 per cent.
