PESHAWAR – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening/night and Monday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave is approaching the upper parts.
Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province on Sunday evening/night and Monday. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Balakot, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Malakand, Kurram, Peshawar and southern/northern Waziristan on Sunday evening/night. On Monday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Dir, Balakot, Abbottabad, Malakand, Kurram, southern/northern Waziristan, Peshawar, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 30-32 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. However, rain/thunderstorms occurred in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 24 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 84 per cent.
