NEW YORK – ‘Out of this World’ T20 World Cup, is all set to start on June 1, 2024 for the first time in the history of the United States of America.

The iconic Empire State Building in New York lit up to mark the beginning of the countdown.

The tournament will also span across the West Indies besides the United States.

The cricket stars Chris Gayle and USA’s Ali Khan initiated the Trophy Tour for the upcoming tournament.

The launch event, held at the Empire State Building, witnessed the skyscraper illuminated in navy and pink, the official colors of the tournament.

The tournament will be played across three venues: the Nassau County International Stadium in New York, the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, and the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill.

New York will host eight matches while the other venues will host four each.

Co-hosts West Indies will have matches in iconic venues such as Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Trophy Tour will visit 15 countries across four continents, inviting fans to join the ‘Out of this World’ cricket festival and catch a glimpse of the T20 World Cup’s prestigious prize.

Claire Furlong, ICC General Manager of Marketing and Communications, was quite excited about the historic event for cricket in the Americas.

“This is an opportunity for the fans globally to engage with the Trophy Tour,” said Clair.

The fans can follow the Tour on ICC’s social media channels and the T20 World Cup site.

Responding to public demand, ICC released additional tickets for 51 out of the 55 matches, available for purchase on the tickets.t20worldcup.com site, starting at 10:00 Antigua Standard Time today.
