ISLAMABAD  –  The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Pakistan, in collaboration with the School of Leadership Foundation (SoLF),  launched “The Learning Network” aimed at developing a national collaboration among youth and/or women-led organizations across Pakistan.

The individuals who are working with refugees and host communities can also get benefit of this learning initiative.

A youth and/or women-led organization seeking to strengthen organization’s capacity and the skills of the team members, the Learning Network is a great initiative for them.  The good news for the youth and the women is that registrations is open, with main focus on developing expertise, broadening impact and collaborating with the esteemed organizations across Pakistan.

The Learning Network aims to create a dynamic platform designed to empower and strengthen organizations through thematic interventions for knowledge exchange and capacity-building of youth and/or women-led organizations. The said organizations can further work on areas of Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health (AY-RHR), life skills-based education (LSBE), prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), Gender Based Violence (GBV), mental health, and climate change resilience.

The initiative also aims at creating lasting positive outcomes for grassroots CBOs particularly led by youth, women, or both.

The Learning Network programme encompasses a series of 10 digital training sessions focusing on capacity building, financial management, and leadership management, identified through a comprehensive needs assessment survey.

Besides it, 12 youth an/ord women-led organizations will undergo, in-person training in Islamabad. This training seeks to equip them to design and implement interventions addressing Life Skills Based Education (LSBE), reproductive health, Gender Based Violence (GBV), HIV/STIs, and mental health across Pakistan. Each participating organization shall receive seed funding for community action projects, promoting local engagement and sustainable impact.

The programme would also offer self-paced e-modules tailored for young communication and media professionals involved in designing Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) strategies. It would enhance their capacity to address Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (AY-SRHR), child marriages, gender norms, and social norms, thereby amplifying the programme’s outreach and impact. A culminating learning exchange workshop will bring together representatives from these organizations to review project outcomes, share best practices, and facilitate ongoing collaboration and learning.

It also aims to create lasting positive outcomes for the most vulnerable populations across the country. Interested organizations by joining it can become active participants in the collaborative effort to drive positive change.
