The 6th Syndicate Committee meeting of the University of Home Economics (UHE) on Wednesday approved the university’s budget for fiscal year 2021-22.
The meeting was chaired by UHE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen while attended by its members including Lahore High Court Justice Jawad Hassan, PHEC Chairman Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Sialkot GCWU VC Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, Founder Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Dr Shehla Javed Akram, MPA Ms Rashida Khanum, MPA Ms Shazia Abid, UHE Registrar Ms Rozina Sadiq, Treasurer Ms Sajjida Nadeem, representatives of the Punjab Higher Education Department and the secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
The Syndicate Committee approved agenda items which included several significant decisions.
The Syndicate confirmed minutes of its 5th meeting as the draft was circulated to the participants and their suggestions had been incorporated.
The Syndicate reviewed Vice Chancellor’s Progress and Implementation Report and applauded the VC and her team for making successful progress.
The Syndicate approved recommendations of the UHE’s Search Committee, regarding the appointment on principal seats.
The Syndicate also approved Rs722.256 million annual budget of the university for fiscal year 2021-2022.
The meeting also approved creation of new staff and faculty positions besides library policy. The meeting also approved number of scholarships for the UHE students.
