RAWALPINDI – Pakistani armed forces on Tuesday gunned down two terrorists in a successful operation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Army’s media affairs wing ISPR said the militants were sent to hell in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by forces in the South Waziristan district.

Militants were successfully neutralised after being engaged in an intense exchange of fire between security forces and militants, ISPR said.

Army’s media wing said weapons, along with a large quantity of explosives, were also recovered from the dead militants, and they remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Forces also conducted operation to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. Security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

KP and Balochistan saw surge in terrorist activities, as TTP and other militant groups waged war against security forces after ending the ceasefire.
