According to details, District Police Officer of South Waziristan (SW) Khanzeb Khan Mohmand inaugurated tree plantation drive, on this occasion Divisional Forest Officer Saleem Marwat was also present.
While inaugurating the plantation drive DPO said that in order to deal with the challenges of extraordinary changes in the environment, the plantation drive should be converted into a national campaign and every place should be a part of plantation. He said that the importance of forests will always remain an indisputable fact, at the official level, activities are underway to plant saplings in government offices and educational institutions across the district.
However, the DPO appealed to the general public, students and every citizen of Waziristan through the media to plant more saplings as a national duty. Therefore, the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign will provide a better and cleaner environment to our future generations, because trees are the guarantee of environmental protection.
