The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) has issued a high-level terror alert to all relevant departments, particularly in Karachi, Sindh. The alert, marked as “MOST IMMEDIATE,” warns of potential terrorist activities in Karachi, with a specific focus on suicide bombing threats. According to the alert, four unidentified terrorists, identified as Arsalan, Mushtaq, Abid, and Ghazanfar, are suspected of planning a suicide bombing attack in various locations across Karachi. While the exact timeframe of the attack remains unknown, the NCTA has urged authorities to remain vigilant and take immediate security measures.

In response to the threat, the Chief Secretary Sindh, Karachi Home Secretary Sindh, Karachi Police, and DG Pak Rangers Sindh have been instructed to implement heightened security measures.

Vital installations such as the Sindh Assembly, CM House Sindh, Press Club Karachi, and Sindh High Court are to be closely monitored, along with hospitals and schools. The NCTA emphasizes extreme vigilance and heightened security measures to prevent any untoward incidents.

The contents of the alert are to be restricted to authorized personnel only, underscoring the sensitivity and urgency of the situation. The alert serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism in Karachi and the need for continuous vigilance and coordinated efforts to ensure the safety and security of the city’s residents.
