Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program Balochistan Coordinator Dr. Sami Khan Kakar on Monday said at least 2800 TB patients have been registered from January to March 2020 in Balochistan and their regular treatment was started while the activities of TB Control Program have been limited due to the spread of the coronavirus.
He expressed these views while addressing a joint meeting of representatives of TB Control Program and Partners Mercy Corps, SPOs, Indus Hospital Karachi, Taraqi Foundation at his office here, saying that the TB control program would now be reactivated across the province with implementing of standard operating producers (SPOs).
Dr. Sami Kakar said that from 1998 to January 2020, more than 93,000 patients have been identified and treated through TB control program across the province.—APP
