PTI central leader Jahangir Tareen has stated that he was not a party in the disqualification case. He paid a brief visit to Mardan on Sunday where he attended “Fateha Khawani” of MPA Iftikhar Ali Mashwani’s grandmother. Talking to media after Fateha Kha-wani, PTI central leader Jahangir Tareen said that he was not a party in the disqualification case.

The case has been filed in the Supreme Court by the Supreme Court Bar Council and that is a non-political organization. I have nothing to do with them. He said that in the opinion of Bar Council lawyers, lifelong disqualification is not based on justice.

As no appeal was given in this case and neither party was heard nor any evidence was presented, Jahangir Tareen said that the Supreme Court Bar Council had not consulted me regarding filing of the case. It was filed by the lawyers of the Supreme Court Bar Council itself. Because they think it’s not fair.
