Three more confirmed cases of dengue fever have been confirmed in the provincial metropolis, bringing the total number of dengue cases in the city to 31 in the current year so far.
Four more confirmed cases of dengue virus have been reported in Punjab, out of which three were from Lahore and one patient was confirmed from Toba Tek Singh district.
During this year, the number of confirmed dengue patients in Lahore has risen to 31 and 76 confirmed patients have been confirmed so far across Punjab province.
During the 24 hours, 17 suspected patients were brought to different government hospitals of the provincial metropolis and a total of 455 to hospitals in various areas across the province.
According to the spokesperson for the Primary Health and Secondary Healthcare Department, seven dengue patients are still undergoing treatment.
According to the spokesperson, dengue larvae have been recovered from 6611 places across the province during the last one week.
In Lahore, the district administration has vigorously been engaged in dengue larvae monitoring and has sealed 23 premises after founding larvae.
The officials claimed that the government is awake to the dengue threat, adding that all-out measures are being taken to control spread of dengue with change in the weather.
On the other hand, the number of Corona victims in the city reached close to 50,000. Within 24 hours, a patient in the city lost his life to the virus. Another 39 new patients were confirmed.
The total number of people infected with corona in the city has reached 49,988 and 866 deaths have been reported.
