Snowfall in Neelum Valley brings chill to weather

The mercury sharply fell as Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir continued to receive snowfall for the second consecutive day on Monday. Upper areas of Neelum Valley were blanketed as the snowfall continued after brief intervals. Several areas and tourist places including RattiGali Lake, Baboon Valley and Patlian Lake received the snowfall.

The intensity of cold has increased after the snowfall. The nomads and their goats were stranded due to snowfall in the upper areas of Neelum Valley. Neelum Valley Deputy Commissioner NadeemJanjua advised the tourists to take precautions during snowfall.

He directed the camp administration of the RattiGali and Patlian lakes to provide every possible facility to the tourists.—INP
