Unidentified armed men shot dead a shopkeeper and fled the scene here on Wednesday, police said.
According to details, the incident took place in village Waulah of Choa Saidan Shah district Chakwal where unknown culprits sprayed bullets at Waseem s/o Iqbal returning after closing his shop.
As a result of firing, Waseem was critically injured and attackers escaped the scene.
The injured was rushed to local hospital but succumbed to his wounds.
Police said that the incident seems to outcome of personal enmity.
However, a case has been registered against unidentified assailants and investigation was underway.
