Shoaib Malik’s nephew Huraira becomes second youngest Pakistani to smash triple century

KARACHI – A maiden first-class triple century by Mohammad Huraira, who is nephew of Pakistan’s star batter Shoaib Malik, propelled him in the record books.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the 19-year-old batsman has become the second youngest Pakistani to smash the triple ton. His performance at the final round match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy at the State Bank of Pakistan Stadium lead his team, Northern, o an innings and 170 runs win over Balochistan.

“MONUMENTAL EFFORT! 19-year-old Mohammad Huraira becomes the second youngest Pakistan batter to score a first-class triple century!” PCB wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Javed Miandad became the youngest batsman to hit a first-class triple-century in April 1975. He achieved the feat for Karachi Whites against National Bank at the age of 17 years 310 days.

PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan and others have congratulated the player for achieving the milestone.
