As many as seven people were killed and four others were wounded in a clash between two groups over marital dispute in Matiari district of Sindh. As per details, the incident occurred in the limits of Salar Police Station where two groups of Rind and Brohi clans used firearms in the clash. Seven including three women were among the dead, while four sustained bullet injuries. The deceased were stated belonging to a single family of Rind tribe. Police reached the spot after the incident and brought the situation under control.
Meanwhile, the heirs of the deceased have staged in sit-in at the National Highway along with the dead bodies. The protest has resulted in massive traffic jam at both sides of the National Highway. The talks between the protesting heirs and the police failed. The heirs of the deceased have vowed to continue their protest till the arrest of the assailants.
Meanwhil two persons were killed in two incidents in Sialkot district. The police on Monday said that on late Sunday evening, three persons Salman, Waqas and Shahrukh Khan opened firing at Usman s/o Saeed Ahmed (26) in village Data Zaidka, in the limits of the Qila Kallerwala police station over old rivalry and fatally injured him.
The injured expired shortly afterwards while the accused persons managed to escape. The police later managed to arrested Salman. In the other incident, Muhammad Younas was beaten to death by Bashir Ahmed in village Kichhi Mand, in the limits of the Phuklian police station, over a dispute about making a passage.—INP
