Separating fact from fiction; A battle for the soul of Bangladesh

WHAT I found most intriguing in my extensive discussions with Mr Zain ul Abedin, who was leader of the Bangladeshi war for independence and author of many books including “RAW and Bangladesh” was his eagerness to vindicate himself from being a part of the Indian plot to break Pakistan in 1971.

This was as blatantly obvious, as it was in many of the Bangladeshis I’ve spoken to around the world.

I have found that the youth of Bangladesh are not buying into the decades long narrative sold by India anymore.

They are forming their own opinions in the light of information gathered during 50 years of independence.

The books of Zain ul Abedin and Sharmila Bose are a valuable part of this information and are instrumental in challenging the official narrative peddled by Bangladeshi and Indian Governments.

For the “crime” of speaking the truth and exposing India, Zainul Abedin was forced to flee Bangladesh with his family to the USA, for fear of their lives, threatened by RAW.

His verifiable claims state that, RAW is practically overshadowing Bangladesh’s ruling establishment, including the Armed Forces.

Similarly, Sharmila Bose has also been forced into silence in the UK where she’s currently living.

Indian Intelligence operatives, reportedly threatened to harm her family in India, if she spoke up any further about her book “Dead Reckoning”.

The book succeed in exposing the myths created against the Pakistani Armed Forces.

Bangladeshis were duped into believing the lies and propaganda by India, who was working in pursuit of her hegemonic philosophy of “Akhand Bharat” which caused the partition of East and West Pakistan.

The organised loot and plunder of Bangladesh by Indian Army started the day Pakistani Armed Forces surrendered.

This was explicitly described in detail by Zainul Abedin in his books.

India worked out a system to rule Bangladesh through it’s external intelligence agency:

The Research and Analysis Wing- RAW.
Today, Bangladeshis are fed up of the Hindu led hegemony over them; facilitated by India; enforced by it’s local deployment of RAW in Bangladesh.

Even the Bangladeshi Army which operates under the strict influence of RAW, is unable to protect them since its officers require clearance of RAW for their promotions.

The emotions originating from this desperate situation, caused widespread protests, before, and during the current visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh.

PM Modi’s two-day visit to Bangladesh as a special guest on the country’s 50th National Day was marred by massive protests and rallies held by Muslims.

At least 12 Bangladeshis were killed in 3 days of violence and dozens injured in clashes with police during these two days.

On the first day of his arrival, protests were arranged after Friday prayers, that turned the mosques of Bangladesh into a battleground between protesters and the Hasina Government backed hooligans, similar to the RSS in India.

Indians are not welcome in Bangladesh anymore and it’s evident. They are losing the battle of hearts and minds in Bangladesh.

Knowing this; Shedding away diplomatic niceties, India has decided to own her role in breaking up Pakistan.

However, in doing so, Indian leadership is unintentionally helping in rewriting the true history of Bangladesh currently muddled by propaganda.

Through his recent proclamations, Prime Minister Modi, has now officially validated Pakistani claims about the 1971 break-up of Pakistan, caused by India being the chief instigator, alongside her pawns in the devious plan, rather than, the Pakistan Army as previously claimed by them.

During his Bangladesh visit, Modi claimed that he was 21 or 22 years when he participated in Bangladesh’s struggle for “Liberation” and he had also been imprisoned for the cause.

He also mentioned in his address, that Indians were as eager for the “Liberation of Bangladesh” as the people of Bangladesh.

Interestingly in this race to gain ‘political mileage’ between the BJP and Congress in a country inspired by an expansionist ideology of Hindutva, Shashi Tharoor criticised Modi for omitting the role of Indira Gandhi in Bangladesh, and also mentioned in a tweet that Bangladesh received support from “every nook and corner, every political party and every section of society in India.”

A statement of such magnitude from a renowned scholar, substantiates the Pakistani stance of accusing India of deceit and nefarious designs to break up the country, in pursuit of her hegemonic designs.

The Indian leadership’s acknowledgements of playing an instrumental role in breaking Pakistan, is a break from precedence, and an obvious effort to win back the confidence of the Bangladeshi people.

However, inadvertently these acknowledgements and confessions by the Indian establishment, led by Prime Minister Modi’s testimony, have thoroughly exonerated Pakistan Army from being blamed for playing a part in the creation of Bangladesh, through an alleged “genocide” of Bengalis, as widely propagated by India.

It was India, all by itself from the very outset engineering the break-up of Pakistan.

They executed their design by forming proxy militant organisations like Mukti-Bahni and Mujib-Bahini, comprising of brainwashed Bengali volunteers, however, most importantly the Indian foot soldiers, like PM Modi from the cadres of RSS, joining these organisations.

This was all done for them to succeed in becoming a part of the conspiracy to break Pakistan, in two, in order for India to ‘divide and rule’ the region.

India alone couldn’t have achieved this in a lifetime, if it wasn’t for the complicity of the political leaderships of both East and West Pakistan on board with the Indian conspiracy.

The fact that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto refused to accept Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rehman as the democratically elected head of the Pakistani government, became the fundamental reason for East Pakistan’s estrangement from West Pakistan.

It provided India with valid grounds to exploit the negative emotions of the East Pakistanis against West Pakistan, due to the arrogant stance of their political leadership, which was spearheaded by Bhutto.

Mujib later thanked Bhutto for this, in Lahore, on the event of the OIC leadership summit in 1974, when Bhutto taunted him about becoming the head of a state; to which Mujib responded to, by saying: “all thanks to you.”

A similar class of political leadership in Bangladesh and Pakistan are still doing the bidding for India on the same lines.

Particularly in Pakistan this involves scapegoating the Pakistan Army for the fall of Dhaka in 1971.

It’s found to be a very convenient way for many Pakistani politicians to get away with their corruption and crimes against the people of Pakistan.

They use this narrative into blackmailing the security establishment and getting pardons like NRO’s.

India’s frenzied claims of taking credit for the creation of Bangladesh, is discrediting their own narrative against the Pakistani Army, but they can’t backtrack now because as well
as attempting to win hearts and minds in Bangladesh, they are simultaneously intimidated by the growing Chinese influence there.

The Chinese have the ability of providing Bangladeshis with a way out from the indirect and ambiguous Indian hegemony over them.

However, it’s now only a matter of time, before the political sentiments against India, will eventually give way to Chinese influence, through investment in Bangladesh under the
belt and road initiative, which has already begun.

Bangladesh’s cordial relations with Pakistan are to be expected, especially due to Pakistan being China’s primary allied state in the region.

For such a scenario to completely . Materialise, there also exists an expectation in Pakistan that the false propoganda created by the Indian narrative, in relation to the 1971 war, must come to an end in Bangladesh.

The truth must be told and a correction in the official history of Bangladesh needs to take place.

Bangladesh is bonded by Pakistan through history and religion.

The myths against Pakistan created by India to rule Bangladesh have started to be exposed, but officials in Dhaka are still keen to tread the path created by New Delhi for them in this regard.

It can be argued that the founders of Pakistan agreed to accept the bifurcated partition, despite initial reservations.

This was due to them realising that they had an opportunity
to flank India with the Muslim state of East and West Pakistan, in an attempt to keep Hindus’ hegemonic desires, (arising from the teachings of Chanakya) in check.

This was overcome by India creating Bangladesh and indirectly keeping a firm control over it.

With India now being consistently, exposed for it’s dishonorable part in the divide of Pakistan; China venturing into Bangladesh; having a huge financial influence there and
challenging the narrative of India’s false propaganda against Pakistan, it now seems, that there is the possibility of India having, not just one, but two Muslim nations to restrain her.

This will be a huge advantage and blessing against the Indian, Hindutva fascist’s, immoral ethnic cleansing of Muslims in their country, and their expansionist desires.
