KARACHI – Schools in Azad Kashmir will commence classes on January 6 after an extension of winter holidays by authorities.
Elementary & Secondary Education Department AJK announced extending winter holidays amid biting cold weather conditions in the region. A notification shared by the department said schools in the region will remain closed until January 4, 2025, Saturday.
This extension applies to both public and private educational institutions. The decision comes in response to the ongoing cold weather and aims to ensure the safety of young learners.
Authorities also urged parents and students to stay informed about any further updates regarding the school schedule.
Winter Holidays Update
Sindh Education Department earlier announced that schools will reopen on January 1, 2025, after the winter break from December 21 to December 31.
In Punjab, winter break will continue until January 12, and classes will commence from January 13 Monday.
