MUZAFFARABAD –All public and private schools and colleges will remain closed in for two days in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The regional authorities announced closure of all educational institutions on May 10, and 11 ( Friday and Saturday).

The schools have been closed due to the long march announced by Public Action Committees to Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) capital.

Earlier today, the federal cabinet approved the deployment of Frontier Constabulary (FC) in Azad Kashmir for the security of Chinese nationals and powerhouses.

Paramilitary troops will be deployed in the region for an initial period of three months to maintain law and order in the region, reports said.

Security has been beefed up for Chinese and other nationals and power houses, including Neelum-Jhelum, Mangla, and Gul Pur power houses.
