LAHORE – Punjab government has announced four holidays in all schools and higher educational institutions across the region for the upcoming elections that are scheduled to be held on February 8, 2024.
All private and government schools, colleges, and varsities in the region will remain closed from February 6 to February 9 for the general elections.
Last week, the federal government announced a public holiday for February 5 (Kashmir Day), which wll be followed by election holidays from February 6-9. Schools will remain closed for next two days due to the weekend.
All educational institutions will start educational activities from February 12 after the week-long closure.
School Holidays for Elections
Students and those affiliated with education department will have week long holidays due with Kashmir Holiday, Election break and weekend.
Earlier in the day, the government announced new school timings for Punjab and schools will commence classes from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm from February 1, 2024 .
