Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Friday said that the opposition should stop dreaming of sending the government home. Senate elections will also be held on time.
“All the institutions are on one page for the development and prosperity of the country. We came to power with the votes of the people, and the public is with us.”
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar was talking to party delegations led by Pir Syed Nazim Hussain Shah of Rice Exporters Association and delegations of Tehreek-e-Insaf party at Governor’s House.
During the meetings, political and governmental issues as well as issues being faced by the business community and government initiatives were discussed.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar while talking to party delegations said that we are strengthening all the institutions including democracy and parliament. Opposition should stop dreaming of any unconstitutional move and of sending the government home. PPP and PML-N governments have completed their constitutional term. Now, our government will also fulfill its constitutional term, which is our constitutional and democratic right. Chaudhry Sarwar said that we believe in the rule of law and constitution in the country and not on political revenge. The government will fulfill every promise made to the nation and the steps taken by the incumbent government to solve the problems of the common man There is no other example of this in the past.
The Punjab governor further said that the captain will also win the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. The opposition should know that the government will ensure transparent elections in Gilgit. All the promises made by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the people of Gilgit will be fulfilled. Talking to the business community, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the federal and Punjab governments are taking all possible steps to solve the problems of the business community.
The industry in Pakistan is recovering fast and the government has saved the country from economic bankruptcy through its successful strategy. Referring to Corona, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the Coronavirus is increasing in Pakistan with each passing day. In these circumstances, there is no option but to implement Corona SOPs. Corona SOPs must be followed to avoid such situations as any negligence by the public regarding SOPs can be very dangerous.
Earlier, Governor Ch Sarwar expressed his condolences on the demise of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Waqar Ahmed Seth and prayed that Allah Almighty grant him a high position in Paradise. The governor also prayed for the speedy recovery of NDMA Chairman Lt-Gen Muhammad Afzal, who fell victim to Coronavirus.
