LAHORE – Pakistan’s cricket team made changes to their squad for first T20 series against Zimbabwe, set to start this Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Bulawayo.
The tweaks were made to the squad after some standout performances in the recent ODI series, alongside injury of Ahmed Daniyal. In recent announcement, Pakistan Cricket Board named power hitter Saim Ayub and spinner Abrar Ahmed, both of whom impressed during the first T20 for the maiden game.
Ayub’s solid batting and Ahmed’s standout performances as a bowler have earned them a spot in the squad. The young players are expected to boost the depth of Pakistan’s batting and bowling.
With the inclusion of these younger talents, the updated squad provides a blend of experience and fresh potential, as Pakistan looks to experiment with combinations ahead of future international commitments. The T20 series provides the team with an ideal platform to test their bench strength while giving younger players an opportunity to showcase their abilities.
The first T20I of the series will be played at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time in Bulawayo, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting contest. As the series unfolds, Pakistan will aim to dominate while giving their emerging stars a chance to shine on the international stage.
