Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has reiterated his commitment to supporting the business community in Karachi and across Sindh as part of his party’s manifesto for economic stability. His remarks came during a meeting with a delegation from the Karachi Electronics Dealers Association, led by President Rizwan Irfan, on Thursday. The delegation, which also included Muhammad Farooq, Javed Muhammad Ali, and Safir Butt, raised several pressing issues faced by traders in the President and surrounding areas. Rizwan Irfan highlighted problems related to sewage, sanitation, and both legal and illegal parking around the area. He reported that the increasing sewage issues, particularly on Abdullah Haroon Road and in the Regal area, are severely affecting the trading community.
Irfan also pointed out the difficulties posed by illegal parking mafias and the punitive measures imposed by the legal parking enforcement staff, which have been a source of frustration for motorcyclists and shopkeepers alike.
He stressed the need for a resolution to these issues, specifically calling for effective interventions from the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), Sindh Solid Waste Management, and the Water Board. Minister Saeed Ghani welcomed the delegation and assured them of his full support.
Minister Saeed Ghani emphasized that providing relief to the business sector is a key aspect of his party’s platform for achieving economic stability. Ghani assured the delegation that he has directed the Mayor of Karachi and relevant authorities to address their concerns promptly and effectively. He promised that solutions to their issues would be implemented swiftly.
