Rajab moon sighting latest updates in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Rajab moon was sighted in Pakistan on Friday, Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad confirmed.

With the sighting of moon, the commencement of first day of Rajab 1445 AH  will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Pakistan’s apex moon sighting, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, met today on Friday evening for the sighting of the moon of Rajab ul Murajab 1445.

Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is set to start shortly as it holds special significance for Muslims. In the month of Rajab, Muslims engage in special acts of worship, reflection, and supplication.

Meanwhile, zonal committees also convened meetings in other cities, Lahore, and Peshawar today on Friday.

Members of the religious affairs ministry, Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the Department of Meteorology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology members are participated in the huddle.
