Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi presided over an important meeting addressing the upgradation of hospitals. The meeting concluded with the decision to procure new modern equipment, beds, and essential furniture for upgraded hospitals across Punjab. The chief minister granted approval for the acquisition of modern equipment, beds, and furniture.
The upgraded hospitals in Punjab are set to receive modern wheelchairs, new waiting area benches, and upgraded furniture for doctors’ rooms. Additionally, provisions include the installation of X-ray LEDs, baby carts, and the introduction of a three-color bed sheet system for patient beds. Wards will be equipped with medicine and instrument storage cabinets.
In his directive, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the expedited completion of the procurement process for upgraded hospitals.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Hasan Suleman Malik is a senior pediatric Hematologist in addition to FCPS (Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hematology) while he is known as the first specialist in this field in Pakistan for CPSP who has joined the medical team of PGMI, AMC and LGH. Dr. Hasan Suleman Malik’ expertise in the field of medicine has provided considerable help to children in the treatment of various digestive diseases while he will also offer services for endoscopic procedures such as small bowel and colon biopsies and other complications including liver biopsies for children. Associate Professor Dr. Hasan Suleman Malik expressed his determination and said that he will come up to this trust and will use all his abilities and energies especially for the treatment of children.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr. Javed Akram, Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretaries of Finance, Health, Communication and Works, and relevant officials.
