Punjab CM Maryam, Finance Minister Aurangzeb discuss economic issues

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday.

During the meeting, national economic conditions and mutual interests were discussed.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on assuming office.

On this occasion, the CM expressed good wishes for Muhammad Aurangzeb for assuming the responsibilities of the finance ministry.

CM Maryam said that there is an expectation from Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb for people-friendly decisions for economic betterment, and together they would alleviate Pakistan from economic challenges.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif being the first female Chief Minister of Punjab is commendable, and her social welfare initiatives are exemplary.

Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and former Senator Pervez Rashid were also present there.
