LAHORE- An Anti- Terrorism Court on Monday granted bail to three suspects in a case related to attacking a woman for wearing Arabic attire in Ishra bazaar few days ago.
ATC Judge Arshad Javaid heard the case and accepted the bail applications of the suspects, Al-Tamash, Nadeem and Adil.
They had filed post arrest bail applications in the said case.
Two suspects including Maulana Aleemmuddin Shakir and Khalid Shah appeared before the court.
The investigating officer pleaded before the court that the arrests of Maulana Aleemuddin Shakir and Khalid Shah were not required. He said they were innocent.
On it, the suspects withdrew their bail applications.
After the police declared both the suspects innocent, the court disposed of the bail plea moved by the suspects as withdrawn.
It may be mentioned here that a case was registered with Ishra police station after a Mon was about to attack a woman for wearing Arabic attire. Woman ASP Shehrbano Naqvi and other police officials reached there and rescued the woman.
