Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Ahmed Mohal said that public interest is being given priority in welfare schemes.
“We are trying to provide relief to citizens directly through development projects and projects are being launched in the district for immediate benefit of the citizens.”
He expressed thesee views while addressing a meeting of the District Coordination Committee.
Provincial Minister for Sports / Archeology Rai Taimoor Hayat Khan Bhatti, Parliamentary Secretary Rana Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, Advisor to CM Nawab Faisal Hayat Jabwana, MPAs – Maulana Muhammad Muawiyah Azam, Mehr Mohammad Aslam Bharwana, Col (r) Ghazanfar Abbas Shah, Asif Kathia and others were present on the occasion. Public representatives and officers of concerned departments were also present.
The meeting also reviewed in detail the annual development program including district based need based projects.
Addressing the meeting, the DC said that Punjab CM Usman Bazdar was formulating development plans keeping in view the consultation and suggestions of the elected representatives, the fruits of which would soon reach people.
He said that a lot of work needs to be done for the welfare of the people in Jhang and other tehsils.
He said that apart from the schemes of the MLAs, schemes are also being prepared under the special package. And repairs will also be spent.
MPAs should identify their plans in this regard so that work on them can be started as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Ahmed Mohal inaugurated the anti-polio campaign.
The DC administered polio vaccine drops to children at DHQ Hospital. MS DHQ Hospital Dr Artza Al Hasnain, DO Health Dr Idrees Leghari, DDO Health Dr Asim Raza Mir and other officers were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that eradication of polio is our top priority.
