Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi on Monday declared that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government will complete its five years in term.
“We as an alley reiterate all-out support to the government and that the democratically-elected PTI government will complete the term five years in office.”
Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi stated after a meeting with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar at Governor’s House here on Monday. “Negotiations and all matters will be held during this period,” said Ch Pervaiz Elahi.
Both the dignitaries discussed reconciliatory matters. It has been reported both met in Governor House lawn also after having one-on-one meeting. During the meeting, they agreed to take forward matters of alliance with consultations.
The PA speaker said that Imran Khan came to his home and now there is no more grievance with the PTI government. He said that for providing relief to the masses political forces mutual cooperation and consensus is necessary.
He said that people are looking towards political leadership for solution of their grievances while he urged the government and the opposition to protect country’s and masses interests.
Talking on the occasion, the Punjab governor said that the country can’t face politics of chaos while he urged the opposition parties that they should know that coronavirus is on the rise due to their political activities.
The governor suggested the opposition to hold talks with the government over people’s issues. Ch Sarwar said that public rallies are beauty and part of democracy and if the opposition does not hold a rally, how will it survive.
It may be worthy to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the Chaudhrys at their residence after PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain November 25 for the first time, since he assumed the office over two years ago. The other purpose was to improve the relations between the two allies, which had been strained for quite some time over a host of issues.
