Defending champions Lahore Qalandars and last year’s finalist Multan Sultans will finally lift the curtain on season 8 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Here is all you need to know about the monumental clash.
Lahore Qalandars vs Multan Sultans head-to-head:
Qalandars and Sultans have faced each other 13 times over the years with Mohammad Rizwan’s team triumphing on 7 occasions while Qalandars have managed to win 6 encounters including the last year’s pinnacle game.
With the two teams again favoured to make a deep playoff run, tonight’s game promises to be another crackerjack of a cricketing contest.
Where and when will the match take place?
The game will be played in Multan Cricket Stadium at 8:00 PM after the opening ceremony of the event.
Players to watch:
The match, on paper, seems to be a contest between Lahore’s bowling and Multan’s batting.
The Sultans will once again count on the expertise of Mohammad Rizwan to guide them with the bat and with Khushdil Shah and David Miller in the squad will feel confident about either chasing or setting up a huge score.
All eyes, however, will be on Shaheen Shah Afridi who will play his first game since the T20 World Cup final after recovering from a knee injury and an appendectomy.
Sikandar Raza, who is likely to make his bow in PSL this year, can also play a crucial role in his team’s success with both the bat and the ball. Shane Dadswell will also look to plug a Harry Brook-sized gap in their batting lineup.
Where to watch Lahore Qalandars vs Multan Sultans?
If you are not at the stadium to watch the game in person, the match will be aired live on Ten Sports, PTV Sports, and A Sports in Pakistan.
For live streaming, you can download the Daraz App, Tapmad TV, and Jazz Tamasha.
