MUMBAI – Renowned Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has joined the global call for an end to the conflict in Gaza, utilizing her platform to express solidarity with Palestinian children affected by the ongoing  Israeli war in Gaza.

Taking to Instagram, Priyanka Chopra shared a poignant post from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), featuring a statement attributed to UNICEF Executive Director Katharine Russell. The statement underscored the critical need for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to safeguard the well-being of children caught in the crossfire. The post, circulated on December 2nd, shed light on the hazardous conditions in Gaza and stressed the urgent necessity for a cessation of hostilities.

Accompanying the UNICEF post was an extensive caption, articulating that every child deserves peace and a promising future. The caption drew attention to the alarming reality that Gaza has transformed into the most perilous and fear-inducing place for children globally.

Tragically, thousands have lost their lives, and many more have sustained severe injuries amid the conflict.
