Provincial President, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Engr Hamayun Khan has said that the party workers will fully participate in the public meeting of Pakistan Democratic Movement in Peshawar. Addressing a press conference here at Press Club, he said that thousands of workers of PPP would participate in the PDM’s public rally schedule on November 22 in Peshawar and would give warm welcome to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on arrival at Peshawar.
He was accompanied by Provincial Secretary Information PPP, Senator Robina Khalid and Peshawar City President Zulfiqar Khan Afghani. He said PPP has started preparation to make PDM show successful. He said PDM meeting would be held as per schedule in Peshawar on Nov 22. Hamayun Khan said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would directly come to Peshawar. Zulfiqar Afghani said preparation for the public meeting was in full swing and fireworks on Ring Road at 10pm would be held on November 21. He said PDM has unnerved rulers and the latter has lost reasons for holding dialogue with opposition.
He said price hike has made lives of people miserable and economy was moving downward that resulted increase in inflation and poverty. He claimed that Government advisors were failed to protect ill policies of present regime and could not mislead people any more. Hamayun alleged that record rigging in Gilgit Baltistan election was made and election commission performed role of spectator there also.
Earlier, Provincial President Engr Hamayun Khan led PPP workers convention that was attended by former President PPP Syed Zahir Ali Shah, President Peshawar City Zulfiqar Afghani, General Secretary Zulfiqar Awan, Senator Robina Khalid.—APP
