A police sub-inspector has been martyred in the firing of an unknown motorcyclist wearing a helmet near Misri Shah area in Lahore on Sunday.
According to police the police officer RanaArshad was killed near Ek Moriya Pul. The fire hit the neck, stomach and heart of the martyred police sub-inspector. Police officer RanaArshad was shifted to Yakki Gate Hospital for medical assistance but he succumbed to injuries. However, the police collected all the evidence from the crime spot and started investigations after registering a murder case.
Sub-Inspector RanaArshad currently was posted in the Investigation Wing of Baghbanpura police station, Lahore. A Lahore police sub-inspector has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen in a brazen daylight attack.
Sub-Inspector Arshad was reportedly returning home from duty when he was targeted by unidentified gunmen in the Misri Shah area. CCTV footage obtained by
local media shows the chilling sequence of events, with the assailants on a motorcycle opening fire on Arshad.
Police reports detail a ruthless attack. Two initial shots were fired, causing Arshad to fall from his motorbike. The attackers then approached the fallen
officer and fired two more shots at close range before fleeing the sacene. The motive for the attack remains unclear as authorities work to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Sub-Inspector Arshad succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite sustaining four bullet wounds.
