Police foil weapons smuggling bid

Shabqadar Police on Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle arms and ammunition concealed in hidden compartments of a car and arrested two individuals.

District Police Officer Charsadda, Muhammad Arif, acting on tip off , led the operation with DSP Shabqadar, Gulshid Khan, in charge. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

From the concealed compartments of the motor vehicle, a total of 6 Kalashnikovs, 7 handguns, 4 rifles, 1 M4, 15 pistols, 56 magazines, and various types of 14,500 cartridges were recovered.—APP
