Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid on Wednesday said that Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) had buried its politics by clashing with state institutions. “Who will believe someone who speaks on the enemy’s agenda,” the railway’s minister questioned during a press conference in Islamabad.
He stated that Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) witnessed transparent elections for the first time and added that democracy had won and PTI would have a two-third majority in GB Assembly by end of this month. Minister Rashid further added that Nawaz Sharif’s statement was a threat to Pakistan Army. “Army stands with Imran Khan,” he maintained. He further added that politics makes its own way and it was not wise to enter a dead end.
Speaking about the Covid-19 situation in the country, the minister said that if the virus spreads further by December 30, it would be a huge problem for the government. He further stated that the federal cabinet was deliberating over distributing free masks across the country. Sheikh Rashid added that Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) would start operation from tomorrow wherein 15 coaches would be inaugurated from Karachi City Station. About 14km new track had been restored which would be improved.
“It [the coach] will be able to make eight turns and the Sindh government will build a bridge and crossing at the 48km mark where as in the next phase a train will operate from Orangi town to the city station,” he said.
