ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto held an important in Islamabad ahead of ‘crucial legislation’ during the next week, the sources close to the development said on Friday.
The top leadership discussed the prevailing political situation in the country.
The sources said that the leaders from both sides including Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar and Raja Pervez Ashraf from the PPP while Ishaq Dar and Rana Sanaullah from the PML-N also took part in the meeting.
“Bilawal Bhutto was asked for support for upcoming important legislation,” said the sources.
They said that a National Assembly session was summoned for Monday to take up the matter.
The sources said that a meeting of the coordination committees of the PPP and PML-N was also scheduled for Sunday.
“The meeting will be held at the Governor House in Lahore,” they said.
The PPP expressed dissatisfaction over the situation, saying that the Punjab government was continuously ignored it.
