Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Lahore on Wednesday (today) will inaugurate Firdous Market Underpass and preside over various meetings in the Chief Minister’s House.
Prime Minister will spend a busy day in Lahore today apart from inauguration of newly constructed Firdous Market Under pass Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar will also meet the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will be briefed on the new business park project, the progress made in the River Ravi project, Health Card and health sector will also be briefed, cabinet members will also meet Imran Khan.
On the other hand, President Dr Arif Ali will pay a one-day visit to Lahore on November 26. Dr. Arif Alvi will attend the Overseas Commission Punjab’s annual function at the Governor House. Vice Chairman Overseas Commission Punjab Wasim Chaudhry will present the annual performance report.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Punjab Usman Bazdar will also call on the President. Vice Chairman Overseas Commission Punjab Wasim Chaudhry to host dinner in honor of President.
Minister Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed on Tuesday visited the under-construction Firdous Market underpass Gulberg and inspected the pace of development works being carried out at the site. Vice-Chairman Lahore Development Authority S.M. Imran, DG Ahmad Aziz Tarar, and other officers were also present on this occasion. Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed instructed the LDA officials to complete the construction work as soon as possible. He said that the Firdous Market underpass will soon be opened for the traffic which will reduce the traffic issues in the area. He added that due to a load of traffic in Firdous Market and adjoining areas traffic jam has become a routine. The opening of the underpass will decrease the load of traffic and would facilitate the masses. He said that the PTI government would continue to initiate new development projects for the welfare of the public.
