ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has accepted a request made by Punjab’s senior minister Abdul Abdul Aleem Khan to resign from the post.
In September this year, Aleem Khan tendered resignation for the second time in order to avoid conflict of interest because of his recent business expansion.
The outgoing minister confirmed the development after holding a meeting with the premier. He said that resigning from the ministry was vital to maintain transparency.
He also thanked PM Imran Khan for accepting his requesting, adding that he is now sending his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
He said, “I had sent my resignation to the premier twice but it was not accepted.
