Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; light rain predicted in upper districts

PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy weather with light rain for parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday and the next two days.

Per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely approach the extreme upper parts of the country tomorrow evening/night.

Under these weather conditions, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday and the next two days. However, light rain winds/thunderstorms may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan during the period.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Monday and 38-40°C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 63 per cent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.
