RAWALPINDI –  Pakistan’s opening pair has once again failed to make a solid start, with the first wicket falling for zero runs on day two of the second Test match against Bangladesh on Saturday (today).

The match is being played at Rawalpindi cricket Stadium.

Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique were tasked with starting the innings for Pakistan but Shafique was dismissed for a duck in the very first over.

The match, which was disrupted by rain on the first day, witnessed Bangladesh winning the toss and opting to field first. Although the weather in Rawalpindi is clear today, a 30-minute extension might be utilized to complete the overs.

Bangladesh leads the two-match Test series 1-0, having secured a historic 10-wicket victory over Pakistan in the first Test.

Squads:

Pakistan:   Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mir Hamza, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, Abdullah Shafique, and Khurram Shehzad.

Pakistan has made two changes for the second Test.

Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and fast bowler Mir Hamza have been added to the team while Shaheen Shah Afridi has been dropped.

Bangladesh:  Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shadman Islam, Zakir Hasan, Mominul Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmood and Nahid Rana.
