Pakistan weather update; light rain likely in upper parts

ISLAMABAD – Partly cloudy weather with light rain is likely in the upper parts of Pakistan on Monday and Tuesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely approach the extreme upper parts of the country.

Under these weather conditions, hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Pakistan on Monday and Tuesday. However, partly cloudy weather with light rain/thunderstorms is likely at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, rain was recorded at isolated places.

Dalbandin and Nokkundi remained the hottest places in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi, Rohri, Dadu and Turbat was recorded at 41°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 74 per cent.
