Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid has warned opposition that the public meetings may spread corona or any act of terrorism could also occurred besides there may be a crackdown on them. “Imran Khan has refused to give any sort of NRO to the opposition whether they launch protest or quit the parliament.”
While addressing a news conference here at Railways Headquarters on Saturday, Sh Rashid said that time period between December 31 to February 20 is important and everyone will observe the result will come out. He said that not a single answer to 50 questions came from the opposition.
He believed that Nawaz Sharif befooled everyone and went abroad. It has been a year since Nawaz Sharif went to hospital abroad and got treatment, but it seems he will never come back, the minister pointed out. He said that what will the PPP members do by resigning as they will never be able to get the next Sindh government either, adding that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has only nine seats and they don’t know anything.
“It is a glaring fact now that politics of Nawaz Sharif, Zardari and Fazlur Rehman is over”, Sh Rashid claimed and added that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will play religion card this time and he will be betrayed by his political allies. He said that let them hold public meetings, in case of any violation or creation of law and order situation, the law will come into force. He again declared that the Prime Minister did not know about the treason case.
Sheikh Rashid said that there is a conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan but they should mind that all such nefarious design will be foiled at all costs, adding that Pakistani armed forces have an important role in peace and stability not only in the country but the entire region. “External forces are engaged in conspiracies against the Pak Army,” he said, adding that Pak army is standing behind the democratic government.
He said that terrorist organizations can do anything for civil unrest in Pakistan with the only objective to weaken its foundation. However, Pakistani armed forces are fully aware and will thwart all such conspiracies. He said the American magazine blamed India for spreading terrorism.
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid presided over the weekly meeting at Railway Headquarters in Lahore, which discussed outsourcing of trains, the tender procedure for coaches and wagons rolling stock, railway yard security and other issues.
The meeting was attended by Chairman Railway Board Habibur Rehman Gilani, IG Railway Police Arif Nawaz, CEO Pakistan Railways Nisar Ahmad Memon and other concerned officers. He said there is an ongoing conspiracy against the Army and foreign powers want to destabilize Pakistan. “Pakistan’s Army is the country’s democracy, economy and stability,” Sheikh Rashid added.
He said it’s been a year that Nawaz Sharif has gone to London but he fooled the whole nation and the world because he did not go to the hospital for treatment. Without naming the opposition parties, he said, “Those who are stepping out against the Pakistan Army are actually fulfilling the agenda of enemies.”
